Minyoung Choi (b. 1989, Seoul, KR) is an artist based in London (UK). Her paintings melds emotions and thoughts into nonlinear narratives, blurring the distinction between reality and dreams. Her compositions harmonise gravity, time, and light, surpassing psychological, mythological, and subconscious interpretations. With enigmatic creatures and rich symbolism, she delves into the intricate relationship between imagination and truth.

Choi completed her MFA Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art, London (UK) in 2017 and her BFA (2010) and MFA (2013) in Painting at Seoul National University, Seoul (KR). Recent solo exhibitions include: Tangent Worlds (2023), Galeria Pelaires_Cabinet, Palma de Mallorca (ES); Always There (2022), Lychee One, London (UK) and Things that happen when we are not looking (2021), Lychee One, London (UK).
