The Hive Center for Contemporary Art is honored to announce that the artist Zhang Ji’s solo exhibition “Bardo” will be present at the 2021 WESTBUND Shanghai West Bund Art and Design Expo, Booth A117. Zhang Ji, born in Beijing in 1993, has completed undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Zhang Ji’s painting emphasizes a kind of growth and natural potential. While releasing the material and media instincts, he uses his body, mind and emotion to interfere with the growth of the picture as much as possible, wandering between the edge of controllable and uncontrollable of the media.
